Fallout 76's The Slasher Update is available NOW
Best keep your wits - and Laser Rifle – about when exploring the post-nuclear wilderness of Fallout 76's Appalachia: There's a new threat stalking the region! Leaving behind a trail of bodies evoking a certain waist-high menace from the days before the Great War...could it be? Has The Pint-Sized Slasher returned??
Available now for all Fallout 76 players, The Slasher Update features an all-new series of eerie & exciting emergency broadcasts airing in parts over multiple weeks. These broadcasts lead players to unravel the mystery behind these macabre masked murders, with tasks ranging from fighting Infestations of fanatical Slasher supporters to digging up unmarked graves for clues.
As more broadcasts air and more tasks are completed, the more likely you'll attract The Slasher's attention. Corner the villain behind the grisly spree (or survive being cornered) for the chance at a unique Power Armor set, a new super-sharp Super Slasher weapon, a chance to rest easy that night (though a real Slasher never stays dead, right?) and more!
The Slasher Update also contains multiple fixes and enhancements, including improvements to Infestations such as increasing drop rates for certain rewards, toggling Infestation notifications and more. Fast-Traveling to join your teammates in an Infestation Zone is also now free, making it easier than ever to call in reinforcements for these challenging PvE encounters!
LEGACY SEASONS DEBUT, PLUS SEASON 26: BEWARE THE BLOOD MOON!
The Slasher Update introduces a new Season to Fallout 76, as well as an old one! In Season 26: Beware the Blood Moon, players can earn S.C.O.R.E. from playing Fallout 76 to earn Tickets to redeem for frightfully fun rewards like the Blood Moon Weather Control Station, Creepy Cultist Well, Batty Skirt and more.
This update also gives players the choice to progress either the newest Season OR a Season from the past with Legacy Seasons! Whether you're missing a few rewards or it's your first time around, you can find out more about unlocking Legacy Season rewards in our article & FAQ.
