FALLOUT 76: PTS UPDATE NOTES – February 9, 2024

FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS

Quests

• Fixed several issues with resuming speaking to NPCs after logging off during a quest objective.
• Quest targets should now correctly point between Atlantic City and Appalachia locations.
• Fixed some issues around NPCs appearing where they should not. E.g. Antonio and Abbie should no longer be in the Chem Lab before the "Sins of the Father" quest.
• Repaired some broken dialogue scenes with specific NPCs. E.g. Buttercup, Saltwater Sam, etc.

Performance

• Improved performance with some scripted objects.

World

• Many minor landscaping and environment issues were fixed in the Flooded City.

Miscellaneous

• Pollinators should correctly explode when killed.
• The Microphone in "All the World's a Stage" is no longer movable.
• Several adjustments were made to equipped items and apparel on certain NPCs.
• Civil Engineering Underarmor should now be craftable.

Additional fixes and changes have been made to the Public Test Server with this update.

Fixes and Improvements

Items

• Adjusted Civil Engineering Armor to be more balanced.

Quests

• Continued balance changes and iteration in key quest combat encounters.
• Fixed an issue in which enemy NPCs could be invulnerable to damage during "Regent of the Dead".
• Fixed additional "checkpointing" bugs when logging out during certain quest objectives.
• Added additional quest intro animations.
• Continued balance changes and iteration in key quest combat encounters.
• Addressed a few issues around actor placement and movement in the Rose Room after the quest line concludes.

Miscellaneous

• Fixed additional bugs with culling and item placement in the Flooded City.
• Cleaned up several typos and subtitle/spoken dialogue mismatches.
• Fixed the face flyout for Mayor Tim in "Human Condition".

• Updated title screen video and added several new location specific loading images.
• Continued iteration and balance pass on the Jersey Devil boss encounter.
• Cleaned up a visible neck seam on Sloan.
• Fixed a bug resulting in erroneous failure of the "Defend the Munis from the Overgrown" objective in "The Human Condition".
• Removed some extra plans from Giuseppe's vendor inventory.
• Adjusted NPC placement and spacing in a few key conversations.
