This week, we’re sharing our latest Dev Dev video, in which we got together with members of the development team to share a preview of Fallout 76 Season 9, including several Fallout 1st enhancements it will bring to the Scoreboard. We’ve also got reminders for you about the current Expeditions Public Test Server, as well as a Scrip Surplus weekend event taking place this weekend.
Tune In to Our Season 9 Dev Dive
The Test Your Metal Update is coming to Fallout 76 on June 14, and when it does, we’re also going to kick off our ninth Season, called “Heart of Steel: A Dread Island Tale”. We wanted to share an early look at the new Season with you, and so we sat down with Nate Emmott, Don Etgeton, and Jesse McLean from the Fallout 76 Development Team to chat about what’s headed your way on patch day. Tune into our latest Dev Dive video below to learn about what goes into the creation of a Season, Fallout 1st enhancements arriving with the Season 9 Scoreboard, and to catch their thoughts on Seasons and the Atomic Shop from the development perspective.
Of course, Season 9 will include 100 rank-ups for you to achieve, as well as a host of new rewards. Make sure to check in on Fallout.com again next week as we share a closer look at the Season theme and many of the rewards that will be up for grabs.
Claim A New Pennant by Joining the Expeditions PTS

Less than two weeks ago, we reopened the Public Test Server (PTS) to begin early playtesting and feedback sharing for our Expeditions Update, which is slated to arrive in the live version of the game later this year. If you own Fallout 76 on Steam, you can fire up the PTS to begin exploring the Whitespring Refuge, completing Refuge Daily Quests to charge up the Responders’ Vertibird, and then using it to lead Expeditions to The Pitt. Once you’ve had the chance to participate in a few Expeditions, head to the official Bethesda Studios Discord Server to let us know what you think, and to discuss your experiences in the PTS with others.
We also have a new Pitt-themed pennant that you can unlock for your C.A.M.P. in the live version of the game by logging into the PTS during this phase of playtesting. We will add the pennant to your account shortly after our Expeditions Update goes live.

As a reminder, the PTS is now only available on Steam. If you own a PC copy of Fallout 76 through the Bethesda Launcher and you haven’t had the chance to migrate your account to Steam just yet, don’t worry. You can begin the migration process by heading here.
Earn Extra Scrip this Weekend

Whether your stash is overflowing with lots of legendary items, or you’re just looking for a reason to visit Purveyor Murmrgh, now is the perfect time to cash in at your local Legendary Exchange Machine. All weekend long, the Exchange Machines throughout Appalachia will be stocked up with double the usual number of Legendary Scrips, which means you can line your pockets with up to 600 Scrips per day by turning in all your unwanted legendary gear. Additionally, due to the Memorial Day holiday in the U.S., this weekend’s Scrip Surplus event will last an extra day, until 12:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 31.
Until next time, we’ll see you in Appalachia.
