A little later today, we’re kicking off our latest Double XP Event for Adventure and Survival Modes. We’re also taking a look back at the Nuclear Winter Pre-Beta launch with some exciting stats, and sharing a few details about Patch 10.5, which is slated to arrive next week.
Double XP Event Starts Today!
The Fallout 76 Free Trial Week may have come to an end but, as mentioned last week, we’re keeping the party going with a Double XP Event that kicks off today for Adventure and Survival Modes. Here’s a refresher on the details so that you can level-up with impunity this week:
- Modes: Adventure and Survival
- Start: 12:00 p.m. EDT (16:00 UTC) on Thursday, June 20
- End: 12:00 p.m. EDT (16:00 UTC) on Monday, June 24
Nuclear Winter Stats
Last Monday, we launched a weeklong Sneak Peek at the Pre-Beta for Nuclear Winter, our new Battle Royale mode for Fallout 76. Since that time, Overseer Candidates around the world have been duking it out, dodging nukes, ranking-up, and escaping the Storm in the nick of time to prove they’re worthy to lead Vault 51.
After seeing the community’s enthusiasm for Nuclear Winter and reading your feedback that it should stay online, we decided to keep the Pre-Beta available indefinitely. To help celebrate, we’d like to share a few Nuclear Winter-themed stats with you from the first week of play:
A good Overseer Candidate is always prepared to conquer any threats they might face on the battlefield, whether human or… something else entirely.
Remember to keep your shoelaces tied up tight and maybe add a few points to Agility so you don’t get tripped up.
Who needs a weapon? Sometimes, a good old-fashioned bare-knuckled brawl will do just fine.
The Storm is constantly closing in on the battlefield, and it never hurts to have a close-range weapon when the time comes to decide a victor.
With a Nuclear Briefcase, the power of the atom is at your fingertips and you’ve shown you know how to wield it with explosive results!
Patch 10.5 Coming Next Week
Next Tuesday, June 25, we’re planning to release Patch 10.5 for Fallout 76. With Nuclear Winter remaining online, we wanted to implement a number of bug fixes for the mode as it transitions from “Pre-Beta” to “Beta”. After downloading this update, you’ll be able to favorite and equip Underarmors you own in your Nuclear Winter matches. We’re planning to re-enable Nuclear Winter Daily Quests, implement some stability improvements, and address many UI and gameplay bugs.
We’re also going to address several bugs affecting Adventure and Survival Modes. Notably, we’re fixing an issue that prevented the Gun Fu Perk from working correctly, and Pioneer Scouts will once again be able to help clean up toxic waste with the Operation Tidy Daily Quest.
Finally, we’re still hard at work on our next major patch after 10.5, which will include a large wave of bug fixes for all modes, many of which are based on your reports and feedback, improvements for Power Armor, and more! Keep an eye out for additional details about that patch in the coming weeks.
