QuakeCon 2022 is officially under way, and a little later today, we’ll be sharing much more about what Expeditions and The Pitt will bring to Fallout 76 in an all-new live Developer Q&A session.

In addition, the Meat Week Seasonal Event is ongoing in Appalachia and Double XP kicks off this weekend. Read on to catch all the details.

Developer Q&A Goes Live Today!

Our next major update for Fallout 76 will bring Expeditions to the game, which will take you beyond the borders of Appalachia for the very first time as you embark on missions to The Pitt. We’re thrilled for the community to get their hands on Expeditions this September, and you can learn all about the new feature directly from members of the Fallout 76 development team a little later today in our Developer Q&A Panel during QuakeCon.

Make sure to catch the live stream at Twitch.tv/Bethesda at 4:30 p.m. ET this afternoon. There, you can join content creator Kevduit as he sits down with Mark Tucker (Design Director), Jonathan Rush (Art Director), and Steve Massey (Lead Designer), to chat all things Expeditions and The Pitt.

But Wait! There’s More…

In addition to the Developer Q&A panel, we’ve also got some exciting programming being put together by the community this year. Join host Kenneth Vigue of the “CHAD: A Fallout 76 Story” Podcast, along with an array of talented Fallout voice actors, content creators, and community members as they compete in a variety of post-apocalyptic game shows. Fallout 76 developers will also be joining the ranks as contestants, including Carl McKevitt (Senior Quest Designer), Ellys Tan (Senior Quest Designer), Emily Stupi (Live Producer), and Jonathan Rush (Art Director).

Tune in to Twitch.tv/QuakeConCommunity at the dates and times below to catch each gameshow as it airs:

  • Dweller Drop – 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday, August 19
  • Apocalypse Squares – 2:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 20
  • JunkaShine Run – 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 20

If you’re after even more content this weekend, you can visit the official QuakeCon website to check out the complete QuakeCon schedule.

Beat the Heat with Meat Week

The grill is red hot, the meat spits are turning, and the drums are beating, which can only mean one thing: The Meat Week Seasonal Event is back on the menu! That’s right, Grahm and Chally have once again returned to the Forest region of Appalachia to host their favorite meat-themed shindig for all their human friends—and you’re invited!

As with previous runs of Meat Week, you can fend off hordes of Prime Beasts at Primal Cuts events every 15 minutes in one of three different locations. When you do, you’ll earn some loot, XP, and Prime Meat. Take your Prime Meat to Grahm’s Meat-Cook at the top of every hour, just south of Vault 76, and then hand it over to Grahm. In exchange, you will receive some Legendary Scrips. While you’re there, help Grahm and Chally throw the best party that they possibly can to earn additional loot, XP, legendary gear, and a chance at rare themed rewards.

Meat Week began earlier this week, and it will run until 12:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, August 30. Be sure to eat your fill, party hard, and claim your share of the rewards by then!

Get Double XP This Weekend

Between QuakeCon and Meat Week, the next few days for Fallout 76 are already action-packed, but we’ve got one more bonus in store for you: Double XP all weekend long!

Whether you’re harvesting meat from Prime Beasts, lending a hand at the Meat-Cook, questing, completing challenges, or anything else, you will rake in twice the usual experience points during your adventures in any game mode. Get ready to earn some extra level-ups, because Double XP starts at 12:00 p.m. ET today, and it will last until that same time on Monday, August 22.

Until next time, we’ll see you in Appalachia.
